WHAT ARE THREAD LIFTS?
A thread lift, sometimes called a non-surgical face lift is a minimally invasive procedure designed to raise the brows, cheeks, neck, jowls and potentially address lines around the mouth and nose.
Thread lifts can be effective for reducing the early signs of aging such as as jowls or sagging in the middle or lower third of the face.

Thread lifts may be indicated for younger and middle aged patients who are not yet ready for a full facelift. A thread lift is not appropriate for patients with a large amount of loose, excess skin around the face and neck. The best candidates are men and women who are just beginning to experience some signs of ageing, especially in the lower third of the face.
Patients who choose this course of treatment may postpone consideration of facelift surgery. A thread lift can be combined with other dermal filler (hyaloroniuc acid) and anti-wrinkle injections by Dr Mooney.
THE PROCEDURE
During a thread lift procedure Dr Mooney uses a fine needle to loop fine threads beneath the skin. The threads are inserted in a transverse pattern, where they can be raised and adjusted in order to lift the skin into position. Each individual thread is attached to the tissues of the face, and over time, the threads become secure as the body’s own collagen begins to anchor them into place.
As a thread lift only requires a tiny opening in the skin, there is little or minimal scarring following treatment. The end result can be a subtle, but noticeable improvement in facial contour.
